God, Who Are You?

God, Who Are You?

In the beauty of nature,

Amid colorful splendor,

I know you as The Designer,

But, who are you?

In deep ocean, on mountain high,

I call upon you, as you are nigh,

I know You as The Answerer,

But, who are you?

From the birth of all young,

And beautiful strong trees among,

I know you as The Life Giver,

But, who are you?

From the sightly flocking of birds,

To peaceful cattle in herds,

I know you as The Gatherer,

But, who are you?

When bounties on me showered,

I feel blessed and empowered,

I know You as The Generous,

But, who are you?

From quaking of the earth,

To hot lava gushing forth,

I know you as The Mighty,

But, who are you?

I feel you in the pit of my heart,

I may forget, but we’re never apart,

I know You as The All-Present,

But, who are you?

From texture of fruit, purity of water,

To nourishment from a mother,

I know you as The Provider,

But, who are you?

From the smell of salt, beach calm,

To the shade under the palm,

I know you as The Giver of Peace,

But, who are you?

From the fingerprints of creatures,

Animals with beautiful features,

I know you as The Unique,

But, who are you?

Girly Fool

Girly Fool

I somehow thought, this year would be,

A new beginning, a happy one for me,

But the one who gives hope, also knows,

How to snatch it, and that just blows.

I put myself out there, with all sincerity,

Forgetting that beauty, trumps integrity,

Here I was, whilst hoping for more,

In the coldest of ways, shown the door.

I guess I can say, he wasn’t the right one,

But signs of this coming, I clearly saw none,

Everything was perfect, I thought finally,

Here’s the other, better half of me.

I can get in the ring, and fight again,

I’d rather choose, to damage contain,

All are alike, some pretend to be cool,

Never will another, play me for a fool.
